The Tubes allow you to get closer to your subject for extreme close up photography. This set of extension tubes have 5 rings, one ring fixes into your EOS mounted camera body, allowing you to screw any combination of 3 extension tubes for varying degrees of magnification, and another ring that screws into the extension tubes letting your EOS mounted lens to be attached. These tubes have no optics, so your image is not affected. However shooting in bright conditions or with flash is advised as the aperture has to be set manually. Using your camera on a tripod, open up your aperture to allow enough light in to focus, focus on your subject and choose your desired aperture before taking your shot. There are no electronic connections in these tubes so everything has to be set manually, ideally use a lens with an aperture ring. Please see the two photos, one taken without the tubes at the lenses with the camera as close to the subject as possible, the second with all the tubes attached.
